Italy and its influence on Spain and the Americas

 

This program involves a journey from Spain to both Italy and America, including music by composers such as the Spanish Diego Ortiz, who travelled to Italy, the Italian Domenico Zipoli, who travelled to Spain and later on to Paraguay and Argentina, and other Italian composers such as Alessandro Scarlatti, who taught Domenico Zipoli in Naples, Bernardo Storace or Girolamo Frescobaldi, who met Michelangelo Rossi in Rome.

Inés Moreno Uncilla, harpsichord

 

Inés Moreno Uncilla, harpsichord. After finishing her harpsichord studies in San Lorenzo de El Escorial with Denise de La-Herrán and Jordan Fumadó, she moved to Switzerland at the age of 17 to undertake superior studies at the Schola Cantorum Basiliensis (Basel) under Andrea Marcon, finishing them with honours in 2018. She won the first prize at the first edition of the Early Music Competition, from the permanent Spanish Juventudes Musicales Competition in 2018, the first prize at the ORDA Competition (Amsterdam) in the category of chamber music in 2012 and was a finalist in the XXI International Johann-Sebastian-Bach-Competition (Leipzig) in 2018.
