Grupo Polifónico de la Real Sociedad Económica de “Amigos del País”. Created in 2001, this amateur mixed-voice choir born in the Real Sociedad Económica “Amigos del País” of Jaén, performs a variety of religious and profane musical works, including polyphony from the 16th to the 10th centuries, in addition to a symphonic repertoire which leads this choir to collaborate with various Andalusian orchestras and renowned conductors. It has participated in numerous musical cycles and choir meetings, as well as in the recording of the Himno de la Provincia de Jaén. From 2016 it is accompanied by the pianist Alberto Martínez and conducted by Josefa Mª Gámez, professor of the Superior Conservatory of Music Andrés de Vandelvira in Jaén.
