Cristina García de la Torre, conductor. She has a Degree in Choral Conducting at The Royal School of Music, London and also holds qualifications in Piano and Solfeggio Professor. In 2008 she was appointed titular director of the Escolanía de la S. I. Catedral de Jaén, with which she obtained the award Sello de Plata de la Ciudad de Jaén (2011). With this group she participated in the Holy Mass in St. Peter’s Basilica in the Vatican. She is a founding member, pianist and principal conductor of the Coro de la Orquesta Sinfónica del Festival de Otoño de Jaén. She teaches at the Colegio Pedro Poveda in Jaén, and manages the Conservatorio Privado y Escuela de Música Maestro Cebrián in Jaén. She is appointed principal conductor of the Coro de la Universidad de Jaén in 2021.

Escolanía de la S. I. Catedral de Jaén. This group of white voices created by the Cathedral Chapter was founded by Cristina García de la Torre, its current artistic director, in February 2008. The purpose of this foundation was to provide the main liturgical celebrations of the Cathedral with solemn music, as well as to promote sacred and choral music, and to offer the singers a high-level music training. It is integrated by thirty boys and girls who are between 8 and 15 years old and show extraordinary musical and vocal skills.
