Cristina García de la Torre, conductor. Degree in Choral Conducting, The Royal School of Music, London. She also holds qualifications in Piano and Solfeggio Professor from the Conservatory of Music “Victoria Eugenia” in Granada, and studied History and Sciences of Music at the University of Granada. She was awarded with the Andalusian Woman Entrepreneur Prize 2017 and the II Courage Prizes, granted by the Union of Professionals and Workers of Andalusia (UPTA). She teaches at the Secondary School “Pedro Poveda” in Jaén, and is the director of the private conservatory and music school “Maestro Cebrián” in Jaén (CEMMEC).

Escolanía de la S. I. Catedral de Jaén. This group of white voices created by the Cathedral Chapter was founded by Cristina García de la Torre, its current artistic director, in February 2008. The purpose of this foundation was to provide the main liturgical celebrations of the Cathedral with solemn music, as well as to promote sacred and choral music, and to offer the singers a high-level music training. It is integrated by thirty boys and girls who are between 8 and 15 years old and show extraordinary musical and vocal skills.
