The Bach family: Mirrors of the Baroque period

This concert presents a journey back to the Baroque period through emblematic musical works composed by Johann Sebastian Bach and also by his sons. This experience will allow the audience to escape from the present moment and to become immersed in beautiful flute and oboe melodies and counterpoints created by these Baroque composers

José Javier Zafra de la Chica, oboe

Carmen Vera Trillo, flute. Her teachers have always highlighted her passion for performing, as well as the way in which she transmits emotions through music: “Her stage performance is going to open it many doors for her” (Yurena Duque, 2018). Carmen began her flute studies at the Conservatorio Superior in Jaén. Later on, she moved to Brussels, where she studied with Frank Hendrickx and Carlos Brunell. She has also received lessons from other great flutists, such as Paul-Edmund Davies, Felix Renggli, María Antonia Rodríguez, or Juan Carlos Chornet, among others.

José Javier Zafra de la Chica, oboe.He began his studies at the Conservatorio Ramón Garay in Jaén, and continued at the Conservatorio SuperiorAndrés de Vandelvira in the same city with Cecilio García Herrera. He also studied at the Frederik Chopin University of Music in Warsaw and has received improvement classes from internationally renowned teachers such as Thomas Indermuhle, José Antonio Masmano, Tytus Wojnowicz, Guillermo Sanchís, Raúl Gadea, Cecilio García, Andrés Parada, Eduardo Martínez, Salvador Mir and René Martín.
