“Para nosotros un niño ha nacido”
(concert of the 20th anniversary of Cantoría de Jaén)

Twenty years of history of Cantoría de Jaén deserved a program of wonderful music and, throughout history, the greatest works have been those written to honor God, that God incarnated for men and whose birth is celebrated every year on Christmas Day over the course of the centuries. It is unthinkable not to include the greatest musical work on the life of Jesus: The Messiah by Händel. Likewise, it is unthinkable not to include any of John Rutter’s lovely Christmas songs; finally, it would be unconceivable not to include an example of our own music: our popular carols, arranged by Juan J. Colomer.
